| Album Info: | To my knowledge these are the first photos of this particular kind of ballast car on the internet, hence the reason why I call them "rare". These five cars are a one-of-a-kind setup. Instead of using gates to discharge ballast, two hydraulically powered belts are used. The middle car houses a diesel engine to power the hydraulics. |
